Two weeks ago, we celebrated a very special milestone: our colleague Andreina Rangel, better known for everyone as Andy, reached her seventh anniversary at Cargobot. Her story is one of resilience, growth, and deep commitment — and it’s also a powerful reminder of the kind of impact one person can make when they show up with determination, curiosity, and heart.

A New Chapter in a New Country
Originally from Venezuela and trained as a journalist, Andy arrived in the US with little more than a phone and a dream. Her very first professional opportunity in the US came at Cargobot. At first, she believed she was applying for a call center position, but through the interview process she discovered something far greater — her first step into the logistics industry.
Growing Through Many Hats
Andy’s path at Cargobot has never been linear; and that’s what makes it so inspiring. Over the years, she has worn many hats: starting as a Carrier Representative, stepping into leadership, moving into operations, gaining experience in Planimatik, returning to Cargo Direct in sales, and now thriving as Director of Large & Enterprise Accounts.
Each transition brought new challenges and opportunities, and Andy embraced them with the same drive and commitment she had from day one. Her journey is a testament to adaptability, curiosity, and the willingness to learn — qualities that continue to define her leadership today.
“A Phone and a Dream”
When asked to sum up her story, Andy put it simply: “I had a phone and a dream.” That scrappy, resourceful spirit has carried her throughout her journey at Cargobot.
Beyond her professional growth, what she treasures most are the people. Over the years, she has built lasting friendships and worked alongside colleagues who inspire her. She describes this as one of the greatest gifts Cargobot has given her — a supportive network of people she admires and deeply values.
Lessons Along the Way
Her journey, like anyone’s, has had its share of challenges. Through it all, she has learned the importance of resilience and balance, finding ways to navigate demanding times while also prioritizing her own well-being. It’s a perspective she now carries with her and often shares with others: growth and success are important, but so is taking care of yourself along the way.
Looking Back — and Forward
Even after seven years, Andy feels her journey at Cargobot is far from over. She sees plenty of opportunities for improvement and growth within the company and dreams of the day when Cargobot could go public through an IPO. For her, that vision represents both the company’s potential and her own excitement to continue contributing to its future success.
